I research face and object perception using individual differences approaches. I’m interested in how people differ in their abilities to recognizes objects and why these differences might occur. I also research expertise effects using neuroimaging methods and have a project investigating the relationship between perception and mental imagery.

Isabel receives a Chancellor Award for Research, for her work with Rankin McGugin, Chris Gatenby, and John Gore published in PNAS in 2012. And the second part of Rankin’s dissertation work was just accepted in Neuropsychologia!
