Starting in the fall of 2017, Kao will be joining Jon Freeman’s lab at NYU as a postdoc. The Freeman lab studies implicit biases and trait attributions for faces, and Kao will take knowledge from his work on perceptual expertise to test how training and experience can impact these kinds of automatic social judgments.
