I received my BS and MS degrees from National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan, with a major in Psychology and a minor in Mathematics. I am interested in neural rehabilitation and improved cognitive functions with music performance and experience. I am interested in the visual advantage that certain musicians or instrumentalists have over other musicians or non-musicians. Aside from my academic interests, I am an amateur pianist and I love exploring food, outdoor activities, and movies.
Ife graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 2013 where she studied Psychology and Neuroscience.
I research face and object perception using individual differences approaches. I’m interested in how people differ in their abilities to recognizes objects and why these differences might occur. I also research expertise effects using neuroimaging methods and have a project investigating the relationship between perception and mental imagery.

Leah is a native of Franklin, TN and recently graduated from Vanderbilt with a degree in Psychology. She hopes to attend graduate school for Psychology after completing the Army Engineers Basic Officer Leaders Course next year.
Jon is from Tacoma, WA and is a junior at Vanderbilt University. He is majoring in computer science to pursue his love for mathematics and technology and be able to help solve the world’s most pressing issues.
I am an associate Professor in Department of psychology,Zhejiang Normal University and Post Doctoral Fellow in Department of psychology,Vanderbilt University.
My research focuses on cognitive and neural aspects of language processing, especially the expertise processes involved in reading acquisition and dyslexia. A central goal of my work is to understand the neural basis in language processing and to facilitate the use of this knowledge in educational settings. My research involves behavioral and functional neuroimaging techniques, such as event related potentials (ERP) and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). I am also interested in other areas of cognitive development and skill learning.
Originally from Detroit, I am a sophmore at Vanderbilt majoring in Neuroscience and English. Through the OPL, I indulge my thirst for knowledge and my passion for neuroscience hoping to continue with it well into the future.
I am a sophomore from Houston, TX, majoring in Medicine, Health, and Society and minoring in Psychology. This is my first semester of research, and I am so excited to be part of this team!
Born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, I first came to the U.S. in 2001 with my dad as an exchange professor for Temple University. After a decade of traveling back and forth between the two countries, I made the excellent choice to come to Vanderbilt as an undergrad. I am currently a junior majoring in psychology and potentially minoring in Chinese. I am still trying to decide if I want to go to graduate school and hoping that my experience in OPL and would help me make a decision. Aside from psychology, I have a huge academic interest in Korean/world politics and anecdotal history. In my free time, I like to sing and play the guitar.
